Michelle Shelton of Keller Williams Realty Southeast Valley in Gilbert, Arizona and
Scott Kiburz formerly of Russ Lyon Realty in Scottsdale have joined together and
formed AZ Mastermind Group. AZ Mastermind Group was established to offer sellers and
buyers a higher real estate experience. Out of 215 REALTORS in their Market Center,
they have the highest average sales price. With the recent real estate boom, many
buyers and sellers were discouraged with their real estate experience. Michelle and
Scott are both refiners and want to offer their clients the highest level experience
possible. The name Mastermind came from their ability to collect and decipher ideas
and apply them to business in a practical manner.
Michelle states, "Building a business requires stellar people skills and unsurpassed
follow-up. Building a business is also much different than presenting yourself as a
salesperson. It's all about the client. It isn't about us. It is about finding out
what the client wants and delivering it. Both Scott and I understand that people
want a Consultant that will support and guide them through the process and assist
them before, during and after their transaction is complete. Scott has strengths in
Negotiations and I have strengths in Marketing. Together we feel there is no
stopping us. Both of us have a love of people and want to do the right thing and
create a win / win situation for everyone involved." Scott adds, "Treating people as
we want to be treated is NOT our philosophy. Each individual has unique requirements
and desires and the goal is to treat them the way THEY want to be treated. Michelle
and I also embrace the ant philosophy. Ants will go over, under and move obstacles.
If they can't do it alone, they will do it as a collective. They work constantly to
improve and succeed. That is Michelle and I. Just like ants will not allow anything
to deter it from their goal, we do not see obstacles, we see opportunities."

Scott and Michelle also have a great story of how they met. In 1968 in a small town
in Nebraska, Scott and Michelle started out as Kindergarten classmates and continued
their shared education experience until 1974. In 1974, Michelle moved away and they
did not see each other again. At least not until 2004, 30 years later!

In a room of 135 real estate professionals in Scottsdale, Arizona, Michelle picked
Scott out of the crowd and asked him the question, "What is your name?"

Some might say it was Michelle's great memory, others call it fate and still there
are the skeptical ones that insist it was a coincidence. Whatever the reason, the
two eventually joined their resources, energy, education, experience and excitement
to form a rapidly rising team within Keller Williams. The name AZ Mastermind Group
came from many strategizing sessions on business, negotiations, sales and people
skills. As the two put their ideas together and saw greater things coming from two
minds, it was the only name that would work.

The solid Midwest work ethic, combined with a desire to do the right thing by others
and years of sales and marketing training have put Scott and Michelle over the top
for production. They are the fastest growing team in the Southeast Valley office.
